This case study focuses on entrepreneurial infrastructural support. What pillars need to be in place in order to support entrepreneurs and help them achieve success? We take a look at the work of Invest Ottawa, an organization designed to support business development in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Through interviews with Invest Ottawa’s Kevin Carroll and Bruce Lazenby as well as Elza Seregelyi, from Grindspace XL, we discover what common challenges startups face and what programs are in place to support them.
This case was filmed in late 2015 at the Invest Ottawa offices, and with GrindspaceXL’s cohort at Queen’s University Innovation Centre located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
